The Krenger Company started in the early 1960s, when owner John Krenger purchased his first two-flat building. He pioneered development in Old Town, Lincoln Park and Lakeview well before these areas were considered "prime". Then moving north into Uptown and Edgewater Beach, Krenger continued to have an instinct for up-and-coming neighborhoods.
Today, The Krenger Company operates a residential portfolio of 15 buildings with 460 units in Chicago and 6 suburban commercial buildings with 56 units, ranging from office to industrial use. Krenger has earned a reputation for quality development and management. The most recent of residential building acquisitions have won awards for community development and affordable housing, including The Ambassador at 5959 North Kenmore, Krenger's largest rehab project to date. Each year, the company continues on its mission to upgrade the buildings.
John Krenger remains at the helm of business operations of the company, assisted by members of his family and a small staff. Please call us today and make a Krenger property your next home! |
